7/19/2010 CREATIVE THINKERS ADD 18 MEDALS TO OLYMPIC SCHOOL YEAR
VICTORIA ¬– B.C. students competing in technical trades finished the Olympic school year on top of the podium at the 2010 Skills Canada competition, and two will go on to represent Canada at the international level in 2011.

VANCOUVER – A new state-of-the-art building to house the University of B.C.’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science will train hundreds of new pharmacists and create up to 850 new jobs during construction, announced Premier Gordon Campbell at a groundbreaking ceremony.

VICTORIA – The Province has released reports for the third consecutive year detailing the major elements of compensation for the top ranking/paid public sector executives in British Columbia.

VICTORIA – The Association of Administrative and Professional Staff (AAPS) at the University of British Columbia has reached a tentative agreement with UBC under the government’s 2010 mandate, announced Finance Minister Colin Hansen.

6/30/2010 HEALTH EDUCATION ACCESS IMPROVES FOR VICTORIA STUDENTS
VICTORIA – The Province is investing $726,693 at Camosun College to train 96 practical nurses and health care assistants, announced Ida Chong, MLA for Oak Bay-Gordon Head and Murray Coell, MLA for Saanich North and the Islands.
